16살 소녀, 로드(Lorde)가 단 30분 만에 완성한 것으로 알려진 ‘Royals’로 현재 빌보드 차트 8주 연속 1위를 하고 있다.

 

크로아티 출신의 시인인 어머니의 영향을 많이 받았다고 한다. 현재 오클랜드 데본포트에 살고 있는 파카푸나 그램마 12학년 학생이라고 하니 그 곳에는 떠들썩하겠다.

 

타임지에서 ‘2013 영향력 있는 16명의 10대(The 16 Most Influential Teens of 2013)’에 선정하기 까지 하였다. Kimbra의 ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ 이후 뉴질랜드에서 빌보드 차트 1위를 한 가수로는 로드가 처음이다.

 

노래가사가 소녀의 감성이 이라고 하기에는 다소 무겁기는 하지만 매력 있는 목소리와는 너무 잘 어울리는 것도 같다.
